BLIDS is a lightning tracking system by Siemens. It allows to locate a lightning strike with a precision of about 300 m. Geographical data,
current strength, polarity and exact point in time were stored in a databank. BLIDS is enlarged continously and counts now some 145 measuring points
all over Europe.
BLIDS is distributed in Switzerland by Meteodat.
